Johnson County Government is looking to design, develop, and deliver modern applications that power the services making a difference across their community every day, using the Microsoft .NET Core stack to build custom solutions and connect systems across the organization.
Requirements
- Hands-on development experience with C-Sharp and .NET Core* using Visual Studio.
- Familiarity with PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and GraphAPI* for workflow creation and automation.
- Proven ability to deliver custom and hybrid solutions* for both off-the-shelf and fully bespoke applications.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 cloud ecosystem* and related tools.
- Experience with MS SQL Server*, including T-SQL queries and database management.
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the analysis, design, development, and maintenance* of complex applications.
- Collaborate with teammates to plan, schedule, and deliver* high-quality technology projects.
- Analyze and enhance* existing systems to boost efficiency and support evolving business needs.
- Develop robust applications within the Microsoft .NET Core stack* using frameworks such as MVC, WebAPI, Entity Framework, and Blazor.
- Build integrations and interfaces that connect business users with third-party systems*, extending functionality and improving workflows.
- Partner with users to understand needs, explore solutions, and provide training* that bridges the gap between technical and non-technical teams.
- Manage and configure IIS environments to ensure applications run smoothly and securely.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of professional experience* developing applications or relevant technical experience.
- Strong communication skills* for collaborating with business partners and explaining technical concepts clearly.
- Residency within the Kansas City-Overland Park-Kansas City, MO-KS Combined Statistical Area, which generally includes the Kansas counties of Johnson, Wyandotte, Leavenworth, Miami, and Linn, and the Missouri counties of Jackson, Clay, Platte, Cass, and Ray, is required.
- All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments/agencies in a declared emergency situation.
