The Boeing Company is looking to improve its cloud and developer tool delivery to enhance the resilience, security, and scalability of its cloud services, and to ensure developers can build, test, and deploy software efficiently in a secure, compliant, and consistent manner.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering and/or product management
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or developer experience roles
- 8+ years of experience in a multi cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- 8+ years of experience defining operational processes, implementing DevOps, and deployment checklists
- 5+ years of experience defining KPIs for developer productivity (e.g. Dora metrics, mean time to recovery, deployment frequency)
- 3+ years implementing developer self-service platforms or portals
- 5+ years of experience of container orchestration solutions
- 5+ years of experience with enterprise CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps), artifact management (Artifactory), and secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager)
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain enterprise developer tooling strategy
- Deliver and support CI/CD, source control, artifact management, and related platforms
- Partner with Platform Engineering teams to integrate cloud-native developer services
- Drive adoption of DevSecOps best practices, standard templates, and golden paths
- Measure developer productivity, satisfaction, and efficiency through KPIs
- Create and maintain centralized developer portals, documentation, and onboarding frameworks
- Ensure tooling meets compliance, security, and audit standards
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 8+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams and deliver scalable platforms
- 5+ years in leadership roles driving developer productivity or DevSecOps adoption
- Proven ability to influence senior engineering leaders to align tooling strategies across diverse business units
