Requirements
- RPGLE / SQLRPGLE: Profound proficiency in RPG programming, particularly with embedded SQL
- SQL Expertise: Crafting intricate queries, enhancing performance, and managing DB2 for i adeptly
- API Development & Consumption: Navigating RESTful services, handling JSON/XML effortlessly
- Kafka: Familiarity with event streaming and message queues
- AWS Services: Proficiency in Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM
- Database Integration: Linking AS400 with external databases such as Oracle and SQL Server
Responsibilities
- Evaluates and provides technical solutions to moderately complex application development problems
- Creates functional requirements, gap analysis, and design documents
- Designs, prototypes and applies best practices for new and/or existing systems including the development of test plans
- Develops specifications for and programs moderately complex technical modules and applications
- Works with management and architects to craft the best technical approach for the project at hand
- Gathers requirements and estimates project work into cost models
Other
- 5+ years of progressive experience in an IT environment, required
- Bachelor degree in IT similar field or equivalent experience, required
- Relevant certifications (Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, etc.), preferred
