Solving customer business challenges through software enhancements and changes, and analyzing customer modifications to determine programming changes needed to provide a solution.

Requirements

  • at least one (1) year of Java programming experience
  • Working knowledge of Web Services, XML, and Linux preferred
  • Knowledge and expertise with Java, Relational Database and SQL (SCJP or OCPJP preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Works within specifications provided to meet programming assignment goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintains integrity of program logic and coding and establishes required checks and balances for operational controls.
  • Troubleshoot and participate in solving customer business challenges through software enhancements and changes
  • Analyze customer modifications and determine programming changes needed to provide a solution
  • Assists in studying and analyzing data processing functions, methods and procedures and makes recommendations concerning the feasibility of revising existing programs or adapting new applications to data processing operations that will more effectively utilize department resources.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of computer operating procedures and operating standards.
