Mediacom Communications is looking to bridge the digital divide between America's major cities and smaller regions by providing faster, more reliable internet service, expanded TV choices, and superior technology in home security and phone service. To achieve this, they need to maintain and develop existing application platforms that support their service infrastructure.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience working with Network Management Technologies.
- 1+ years’ experience working in a 7x24x365 support environment.
- Experience with HTML, PHP, SQL, Linux (RHEL), VMWare, Python, and JavaScript preferred.
- Knowledge of CMDB concepts.
- Knowledge of Scrum or Agile development concepts.
- Past experience with NOC operations.
- Cable TV/Broadband and/or Telecommunications experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Detailed data entry into all NOC Tools & Development Managed applications.
- Actively work with NOC, HFC NOC, OSS, IT, IP Engineering, IP Design, 3rd party service providers, and field staff on problem resolution activities for applications supporting service infrastructure that delivers Video, High Speed Data, and Telephony services.
- Maintain service level agreements by adhering to NOC escalation time lines and continuous re-assessment of ongoing issues.
- Adhere to company and department policies and practices in an effort to assure prompt resolution to identified problems
- Meet project deadlines related to development activities, and provide project feedback on a regular basis.
- When offered, attend training related to NOC tool development and administration.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent, preferred.
- Excellent communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to work under stress, multitasking while following detailed procedures while displaying good decision making skills.
