American Airlines is looking to solve problems related to Corporate Security, Emergency Planning & Response, Environmental and Safety IT portfolios by developing and supporting web-based, mobile-aware, Java applications and web services, and by performing data engineering, BI/reporting, and data analytics.
Requirements
- 2 years development experience utilizing BI and reporting tools (Cognos, Jaspersoft, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
- 2 years data analytics experience using SQL.
- 2+ years of Cognos experience.
- 2+ experience writing queries against SQL and/or Oracle databases.
- 2+ years of data warehousing/ETL/datalake experience
- Experience developing reporting and/or dashboards across relational databases
- Working understanding of python, spark languages and datalake concepts
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and supporting web based, mobile-aware, Java applications and web services.
- creates new and maintains current applications, including, but not limited to, bug fixes, feature enhancements, and performance tuning in the Corporate Security, Emergency Planning & Response, Environmental and Safety IT portfolios.
- Researches and implements new technology to enhance current processes, security, and performance
- Troubleshoots and debugs complex issues; identifies and implements solutions
- Works with production operations department to ensure deployments roll out smoothly and customer groups receive appropriate support
- Documents validation of design decisions
- Provides on-call production support (24 x 7 x 365), as required
