Mayo Clinic is looking to hire a Developer for their Biochemical Genetics Lab to innovate, evaluate, and implement new tests, methodologies, technologies, or products, and to improve existing methods.
Requirements
- Experience with the following platforms: LC-MSMS, GC-MSMS, and HPCL is preferred.
- Master's degree in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science or medical technology or Doctoral degree (PhD) in chemistry or a biological science preferred.
- ASCP or other certification pertinent to the laboratory field may be required depending on the laboratory specialty and prevailing regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develops, innovates, evaluates, and implements novel/new tests, methodologies, technologies, or products for the laboratory under the intellectual and scientific guidance of laboratory directors and [DT3].
- Responsible for improvement of existing methods or implementation of novel technology of proven validity within the work unit.
- Organizes new method validation data, prepares data for publication and peer review, and participates in formal presentations.
- Capable of reproducing a reference method using available procedures without supervision.
- Demonstrated analytical and scientific competency with development and/or validation of lab techniques or procedures.
- Experience with data collection, organization, analysis and delivery of information.

- Individuals hired to this position are required to complete 2 years in this position before becoming eligible to apply to other positions within Mayo Clinic.
