Microsoft Xbox is looking to empower gamers and expand its reach in the growing media and entertainment sector, particularly in gaming. The Developer Relations team needs a Developer Partner Manager to foster relationships with key game developers, middleware, engine, and services providers to ensure they leverage Xbox tools and services effectively across Microsoft's gaming platforms (Xbox, Windows, Game Pass, Cloud Gaming). This role aims to elevate the quality of gaming experiences on Microsoft platforms by helping developers overcome technical challenges and adopt new technologies.
Requirements
- Knowledge of game development across platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, and/or Windows PC.
- Ability to ramp up on new technology and end-to-end scenarios.
Responsibilities
- General account & relationship management of technical teams within our partner game studios
- Research and understanding technical aspects of Microsoft platforms. (Xbox, Game Streaming, Azure, Windows PC development)
- Work on technical problems that require cross group collaboration.
- Provide technical insights to internal partner teams during business discussions.
- Build content that helps us reach out and build relationships with developers new to the Xbox ecosystem
- Be a representative for Xbox at game developer events and conferences.
Other
- 2+ years experience in relevant technical domain (e.g., cloud services, security), technical sales, marketing, product management, customer support, or cross-group/cross-functional engineering OR equivalent experience.
- Verbal and written communication in English.
- Experience building collaborative and trust-based relationships with partners by applying communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Passion for gaming and consumer entertainment and the technologies to create these experiences.
- Professional working experience in the gaming industry.
- Respect for diverse perspectives and actively contributes to collaborative problem-solving in team environments.
- Ability to formulate insights and effectively communicate opinions about complex problems.
