Apple is looking to enable automakers worldwide to integrate CarPlay, CarPlay Ultra, and car keys into vehicles, directly impacting the experiences of millions of drivers, by providing clear and accurate technical documentation.
Requirements
- Experience with text markup (LaTeX, Markdown, HTML, XML) and SCM environments (Git/Subversion)
- Proficiency with macOS and Unix
- Experience writing or editing requirements documentation
- Familiarity with automotive systems, hardware integration, and accessory design
- Familiarity with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and UX/UI design principles
- Ability to interpret complex specifications and requirements into clear, actionable content
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Car Experience engineering team to analyze engineering specifications, research automaker needs, and gain a deep understanding of hardware specifications and implementation requirements
- Craft content delivery plans and schedules, and compose technical specifications that clearly communicate complex integration concepts
- Edit detailed technical specifications and other content produced by engineers
- Identify opportunities to modernize content workflows and formats for improved efficiency and quality
- Contribute to app development documentation and HIG guidance
