Google is looking to improve its Google Cloud Platform (GCP) developer experience by identifying and advocating improvements, driving Google Cloud adoption, and fostering a community of developers who work with Google technologies.
Requirements
- Experience in at least one programming language: Java, Python, Node.js/ JavaScript, or Golang.
- Experience with Google Cloud or Cloud Computing Platform.
- Experience with Cloud Native infrastructure technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Experience with generative AI, machine learning, or vector databases.
- 5 years of experience in a technical role (e.g., software engineering, solutions consultant, etc.) or equivalent technical experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to write sample code and client libraries
Responsibilities
- Scope, execute, and deliver Cloud engaged evaluations, spanning a wide variety of topics.
- Write detailed reports on findings; file bugs; and work with stakeholder teams to discuss next steps.
- Work with other Cross-Developer Relations programs, including the Cloud Architecture Center, and Insights, to swap findings and drive overlapping initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date on industry product launches and developments, and attend industry events.
- Try out new and upcoming Google Cloud products and features; write friction logs.
- Write sample code and client libraries as well as participate in developer forums and support queues to troubleshoot and debug coding problems developers encounter.
- Internally, work with product engineering teams to improve our products by conveying feedback from developers, reviewing API designs and testing new features.

- US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
