Dagster Labs is looking to solve the problem of making data platforms easier to test, easier to understand, and enjoyable to use, by empowering every organization to build a productive, scalable data platform.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Python
  • Hands-on experience with distributed systems, containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and CI/CD workflows.
  • Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster, Airflow, Prefect).
  • Knowledge of data engineering.
  • Experience at high-growth SaaS startups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with empathy for clients and ability to advocate for their needs while representing the company effectively.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to Dagster+ customers and open-source users.
  • Provide technical guidance on data orchestration, integration, and how to write pipelines in Dagster (Python).
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to Dagster installations, integrations, and deployments.
  • Troubleshoot issues with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker) to help customers implement solutions effectively.
  • Improve documentation for clarity and usability.
  • Improve support tooling and develop debugging resources to expedite issue resolution.
  • Provide feedback to engineering and product teams to drive product improvements.

Other

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in technical support, software engineering, or a similar role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with empathy for clients and ability to advocate for their needs while representing the company effectively.
  • Proactive mindset for engaging with customer issues and driving improvement.
  • Ability to work in a distributed team with offices in San Francisco, New York, and Minneapolis, or fully remote within the United States.
  • Flexibility within the support team's operating hours (6:00 AM and 5:00 PM PT) to ensure timely and effective support.
