Houston Community College (HCC) is looking for a professional to review, analyze, and modify applications and systems, including coding, testing, debugging, and documenting software and programs to ensure smooth operations and support the institution's mission.
Requirements
- 4 years experience programming or application development in a web-based environment, relational databases and query writing, and with cross platform language required
- Experience programming and debugging, and operating systems is preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop codes for interactive data driven web applications.
- Develop interfaces to back-end databases.
- Troubleshoot and debug pre-production web applications.
- Maintain and upgrade applications.
- Troubleshoot web server, setup and control form issues in system which affects web applications.
- Assist to analyze, design and test new and/or existing systems.
- Compile and write documentation to describe program development and revisions.
Other
- Associateâs degree or 60 hours of college credit coursework in a related field required
- Bachelorâs degree preferred
- 4 years directly related work experience may be considered in lieu of required degree
- Valid Texas Driver License
