MGMA is looking for a DevOps and Developer Experience Lead to provide technical leadership for Developer Enablement, including Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and observability, to improve the efficiency and quality of technical delivery within the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience with modern engineering and architectural patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and DevEx/DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
- Technical proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, tooling, and automation.
- Expertise cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with test automation, QA/QE processes, and performance tuning preferred.
- Five (5) or more years of hands-on DevEx/DevOps experience.
- Prior experience as a team lead, tech lead, or similar influential technical leadership role within an agile development environment.
- Advanced understanding of agile software development practices, including Scrum or Kanban.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for DevEx, DevOps, and DevSecOps, providing day-to-day direction and guidance to developers and other contributors.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership and other engineers to co-develop the Developer Enablement technical roadmap, helping to define priorities, estimate work, and ensure alignment with engineering objectives.
- Own and evolve the tooling, pipelines, and practices that support the entire software development lifecycle.
- Partner with other Engineering Leads to ensure consistency, scalability, and shared standards across teams.
- Own technical delivery and ensure development is executed according to agreed standards, timelines, and architectural guidelines.
- Break down large features into actionable development tasks, delegate work across the team, and monitor task progress.
- Ensure code quality and technical consistency through code reviews, technical coaching, and adherence to DevEx/DevOps best practices.
