The Boeing Company's Maritime and Intelligence Systems (M&IS) Division is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their Mission Operations team to deliver complex solutions in challenging environments and provide support for their Mission Operations Portfolio.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with DevOps practices and skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience managing and maintaining servers and related infrastructure components using automation tooling.
- Familiar with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core services.
- Familiar with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or AHV, including virtual machine management, resource allocation, and performance optimization.
- Familiar with a scripting language such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate routine tasks, streamline processes, and improve efficiency.
- Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, Foreman.
Responsibilities
- Set up automation and tooling for installation and configuration of Windows servers, Linux servers, Windows workstations, and related software components.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance tasks such as applying updates, patches, and security fixes with automation.
- Automate configuration and management of network services, such as DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory, to facilitate communication and resource sharing within the network.
- Automate implementation and management of backup strategies to ensure data protection and disaster recovery capabilities in case of system failures or data loss.
- Automate implementation and maintenance of security measures, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and access controls, to protect the system from unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats.
- Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve overall system efficiency and responsiveness.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, as well as generate reports on system performance, security, and compliance.
Other
- Active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance with current full scope polygraph, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
- 1+ years of relevant experience for level 2; 3+ years for level 3; 5+ years for level 4.
- Typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Must meet export control compliance requirements, to meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.
