NetImpact Strategies, Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a Federal Agency, to enable smooth application deployments and support Python/Django application environments in secure production settings.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years Linux system administration experience (RedHat, CentOS, Oracle Linux preferred)
- Strong experience with web servers (Nginx and/or Apache) and Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss)
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues in complex environments
- Experience with Python/Django application environments
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS)
- Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or TeamCity
Responsibilities
- Serve as the liaison between system administration and development teams to enable smooth application deployments.
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot servers including ColdFusion, Tomcat, Apache, and Python/Ruby stacks.
- Manage deployment pipelines and automate CI/CD workflows using tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or TeamCity.
- Deploy, maintain, and upgrade Java application servers and containers (Tomcat, JBoss) to meet production requirements.
- Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity planning for application infrastructure.
- Administer F5 LTM appliances, manage Git repositories, and automate tasks with Bash, Perl, or similar scripting languages.
- Implement cloud and DevOps best practices in AWS environments, ensuring compliance with security policies.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- US Citizenship eligible for a Public Trust
- Previous federal IT consulting experience (preferred)
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Bethesda, MD
- Clearance: US Citizenship eligible for a Public Trust
