The Naval Undersea Warfare Center is looking to solve challenges providing automation for integration and testing of hardware, operating system, system configuration, and software for the next generation of undersea warfare Training Systems.
Requirements
- Proficiency working in Linux environments (RHEL7/CentOS7, RHEL8/CentOS8).
- Proficiency working with Bash Shell Scripting
- Proficiency working with Python
- Proficiency working with Ansible
- Experience with at least one compiled language (e.g. C, C++, Rust, Go)
- Working knowledge of Make and/or Clearcase
- Working knowledge of Gradle
Responsibilities
- Implement continuous delivery best practices within our software development lifecycle.
- Implement and support a continuous integration and continuous delivery model to streamline development, deployment and testing of multiple software baselines.
- Partner with engineering teams to automate every stage of the software development life cycle.
- Design, implement, alter, and test CI/CD pipelines.
- Build tools to reduce the overhead and streamline building, packaging, deploying, and testing.
- Creating solutions to give developers fast feedback on engineering changes.
- Researching and delivering new and innovative methods for providing continuous delivery solutions.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant STEM field.
- More than two years of experience in a Software Engineer role
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems.
