TetraScience is looking to enhance and manage its cloud infrastructure, ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of its platforms for deploying and operating its scientific data solutions, primarily on AWS.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS certifications
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python (preferred), Java, or Go
- Strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, especially CloudFormation and Terraform
- Practical knowledge of deploying and managing AI/ML applications and frameworks
- Experience with cloud-native CI/CD workflows and tools like Github Actions or AWS CodeDeploy
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, networking, and security best practices
Responsibilities
- Develop CloudFormation templates, Terraform modules, Python scripts, and deployment frameworks to automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes
- Create and maintain monitoring, alerting, and self-healing tools to enhance system reliability and performance
- Assist software engineering teams in building accurate monitoring and metrics systems for applications prior to production release
- Manage internal AWS environments and network configurations, maintaining stability, security, and cost-efficiency
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to manage the entire product lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and ongoing operation
- Work closely with clients to deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize our products within their AWS environments, ensuring seamless integration and high performance
- Participate in client meetings and collaborate with solution architects to address integration challenges and provide technical guidance
Other
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of deployment procedures, operational processes, and standard operating procedures
