Ford Motor Company's infrastructure solutions need to be transformed to meet the challenges of next-generation applications, including internal business, mobile applications, and autonomous vehicle application hosting requirements. The company is looking to modernize its IT culture towards a more nimble and iterative methodology and improve the developer experience on its Kubevirt/Kubernetes platform by reducing toil and complexity.
Requirements
- (3+ years) Strong Linux knowledge on multiple platforms (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE).
- (1+ years) Experience in use of Kubevirt and Kubernetes.
- (1+ years) Experience in use of virtualization and container technologies.
- (1+ years) In-depth use of Cloud-based PaaS and IaaS. GCP and Azure experience preferred.
- (2+ years) Experience with GIT and CI/CD pipelines using Tekton, Argo, GitHub Actions, and/or Jenkins.
- (1+ years) Experience with and Prometheus/Garfana
- Demonstrable proficiency in Kustomize/Helm
Responsibilities
- Upgrade and maintain OpenShift Virtualization Specific Operators
- Manage OpenShift Virtualization Namespaces/Permissions
- Develop automation related to Provisioning, Day2, Decommissioning and Migration
- Collaborate with team members regarding code standards and assignments where needed.
- Participate in code reviews and technical designs.
Other
- Work effectively in a team environment. Team leader capability desired.
- Pairing with team members occasionally required.
- Exceptional technical writing skills (run books, DR plans, platform architecture, etc.)
- Ability to work with a variety of cross functional teams to support deployment to remote locations across the global.
- Must a self-starter, capable of working independently and within a team with minimum supervision.
