Peraton is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support its Federal Strategic Cyber program, aiming to enable secure, scalable, and efficient development and deployment processes for mission-driven systems.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Strong understanding of containerization principles (Docker, Podman, etc.).
- Experience with configuring and managing CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, etc.).
- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Experience with leveraging benefits of security products within DevSecOps workflow.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD Test Automation Pipeline & Reporting.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry best practices.
- Implement and manage containerization strategies with OpenShift/Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD into the software lifecycle.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and availability.
- Automate infrastructure and application deployment processes.
- Apply security best practices across all DevOps procedures.
- Promote DevOps principles and mentor teammates to adopt best practices.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years related technical experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- U.S. citizenship required.
