As a DevOps/SRE Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Technology, the business problem is to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Requirements

  • Experience with DevOps and Incident and Response Management (end-to-end) using appropriate Tools (not emails)
  • Spinnaker, Jenkins, Terraform and similar SDLC and Monitoring Tools (Cloud Watch, Dynatrace)
  • Experience coding in Python, Scala, SQL, and Shell scripts languages.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Experience with AWS Services and Tools

Responsibilities

  • Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance.
  • Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and system.
  • Adheres to weekly support Rotation schedules including weekends (standard DevOps Cadence)
  • Partners with third party vendor data management and lifecycle and engagement for Trouble Tickets using DevOps Process.
  • Writes SQL to run query and manage Oracle.
  • Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.

Other

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
  • Adheres to weekly support Rotation schedules including weekends (standard DevOps Cadence)
  • Partners with third party vendor data management and lifecycle and engagement for Trouble Tickets using DevOps Process.
  • Manages Changes and Incident Management and effective Communication/Coordination with Stakeholders
