Requirements

  • Deep expertise in modern DevSecOps stacks: CI/CD, automation, Kubernetes, IaC, containerization, monitoring, and security toolchains (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Ansible).
  • Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Neptune, VMware/OpenStack hybrid), and implementing secure, multi-cloud solutions.
  • Proven success with software factory or enterprise DevSecOps initiatives, driving compliance, innovation, and modernization.
  • Expert understanding of Navy/DoD cybersecurity frameworks, Zero Trust architecture, RMF, NIST 800-53, and mission system hardening.
  • 10+ years progressive experience in DevSecOps, including 3+ years leading secure architecture in large-scale, mission-critical environments—preferably within DoD/Navy.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting solutions for SAP (S/4 HANA, ECC), ERP, or large-scale business systems in a Navy or DoD environment.
  • Active engagement in Navy modernization programs, R&D, or pilot projects.

Responsibilities

  • Architect modern DevSecOps pipelines and platforms using leading-edge automation, containerization, orchestration, and IaC practices tailored for Navy applications.
  • Recommend Zero Trust principles, automated security controls, and continuous compliance into all phases of development, deployment, and operations for PEO MLB portfolios.
  • Recommend and identify secure multi-cloud and hybrid architectures (AWS, Azure, Neptune, OpenStack, etc.) and cloud-native tools to maximize operational resilience, cost savings, and Navy cloud policy alignment.
  • Drive proactive risk identification, vulnerability management, NIST, DoD, and Navy RMF compliance throughout DevSecOps activities. Champion Security Assessment & Authorization, supply chain risk mitigation, and technical debt reduction.
  • Lead multi-functional technical teams, mentor Navy and partner staff in DevSecOps, Agile, Cloud, and security practices. Foster a culture of innovation, adaptive learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Translate mission requirements into technical strategy. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to senior leadership, business owners, and engineering staff. Collaborate with Navy software factory/SMIO teams to implement enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Research, pilot, and institutionalize advanced technologies (AI/ML, data analytics, cyber automation) that drive PEO MLB objectives for modernization and digital transformation.
