Peraton is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support the Peraton Team in San Diego, CA. The role involves designing and implementing innovative technologies for automating, integrating, and delivering containerized web applications and services for the Department of Defense (DoD), specifically supporting Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) software applications and initiatives.
Requirements
- Containerization (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher)
- Container orchestration tools (i.e., Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm)
- Infrastructure-as-Code (i.e., Ansible, Vagrant, Terraform, CloudFormation)
- CI/CD automation tools (i.e., GitLab, Jenkins, AWS Code Build, Azure Pipelines)
- Linux operating systems (i.e., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Automation and Scripting (i.e., Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Cyber security practices (i.e., Active Directory, HBSS, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative technologies for automating, integrating, and delivering containerized web applications and services for the Department of Defense (DoD)
- Day-to-day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to design, implement, and sustain mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with the tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions
- Use containers (e.g., Docker, Rancher) and orchestration configurations (e.g., Helm, OpenShift) to deploy software using microservice architecture to support Navy DevSecOps initiatives
- Develop security hardened container images to comply with operational DoD compliance
- Create automated Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline daily software development operations
Other
- Must live in the San Diego metro area.
- BS in STEM (or equivalent) with 2 years of experience; or HS Diploma with 6 years of relevant experience
- CompTIA Security+ Certified (or able to obtain within 30 days)
- Candidate must be a US citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the Secret level
