IDT is seeking a DevSecOps Intern to solve some of the Navy’s toughest challenges in software development, security, and operations, ensuring the security of mission-critical systems.
Requirements
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or Shell scripting.
- Basic understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, podman) and virtualization environments (e.g., VMware).
- Interest in security concepts, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Ansible, Puppet) and security testing tools (SAST, DAST).
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, and security testing tools.
Responsibilities
- Support security automation efforts, including static code analysis and security scanning for containers.
- Help integrate security checks into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure secure software development.
- Collaborate with the team to enhance infrastructure security, including cloud and containerized environments.
- Participate in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in development environments.
- Work with internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of DevSecOps practices and processes.

- Currently enrolled in and undergraduate or post graduate degree program with a major in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, data science, cyber security, mathematics, or aeronautical engineering
- Ability to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance.
