COO Technology group provides technology services for the Chief Operating Office. This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. COO Technology provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization. The DevSecOps Lead Software Engineer role is essential for executing strategic vision and driving concrete results by integrating security into automation and delivery, orchestrating cross-team workflows, and ensuring that modern infrastructure and deployment practices are both efficient and secure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience with strategic planning in technology
- 5+ years of experience with technology such as Java, Angular, .NET, SQL Server and Big Data
- 5+ years of scripting and automation experience
- 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies (AWA, Azure, GCP)
- 3+ years of experience with DevOps tools (Git, Automation Deployment toolkits)
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD/CT (Continuous Integration / Continuous Development / Continuous Testing)
Responsibilities
- Implement secure & scalable CI/CD processes and procedures
- Contribute to cloud infrastructure decisions
- Work with the Site Reliability Engineering team to embed reliability and observability across platforms
- Influence tooling, automation, and resilience engineering to accelerate modernization and ensure robust, secure, and efficient delivery pipelines for COO Technology
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Identify and recommend opportunities for driving escalated resolution of technology roadblocks including code, build and deployment while also managing overall software development cycle and security standards

- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
- Provide direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant automation and Agentic AI to enhance business solutions
