DMI is seeking a DevSecOps Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Defense Acquisition Visibility Environment (DAVE) program, requiring expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and highly available systems.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Azure Government
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, networking, etc)
- Deep expertise in API solutions like Tyk or Apigee
- Proven experience managing and extending GitLab for source control and Ci/CD
- Proficiency with Linux-based systems and container technologies
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash and Python
- Solid understanding of security best practices in cloud-native environments
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available and secure Kubernetes clusters.
- Manage identity and access control using Keycloak.
- Administer and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines and workflows to support software delivery.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure platform health and performance.
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure platform reliability and compliance.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response as needed.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 5+ years of experience in a platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure role
- Currently possesses or has the ability to obtain required certifications within 2 months of employment: CompTIA Security+
- Ability to obtain AWS or Azure certifications
- Must possess DoD Secret Security clearance.
