Gala Industries, Inc. is seeking an inspector to ensure the quality of dies before they leave the machine shop, meeting all customer requirements and Gala standards.
Requirements
- Previous inspection experience of machined parts.
- Use of measuring equipment commonly used in a machine shop.
- Knowledge of heat treating (desirable).
- Experience with geometric tolerancing (desirable).
- High School diploma or equivalent education (additional technical skills a plus)
- Machinist / Tool Maker apprenticeship card (desirable)
- Technical training / certifications (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Use the most effective and efficient methods to measure each die.
- Select proper measuring instrument for the feature being measured.
- Dimensionally and visually inspect the product to assure the product meets all print and customer requirements.
- Enter data in a data base.
- Assemble the die after inspection, adding all components specified for that particular die.
- Communicate with Management/Quality Dept. and customers to help resolve quality related issues.
