The Boeing Company is seeking a Digital Information Systems & Data Analyst to support the Boeing Library Services (BLS) team in managing and distributing information across the global enterprise, ensuring the right information gets to the right people at the right time to maximize the value proposition to support Boeing customers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in metadata management and/or data management
- 3+ years of experience in SQL/T-SQL
- 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Excel data analysis to include pivot tables and charts
- Experience with Linux systems administration
- Experience with database or information management software application
- Experience with project management methodologies, including developing project plans, performance management, and managing issues and risks
- Familiarity with integrated library systems (ex. Koha)
Responsibilities
- Provides detailed guidance to end users in accessing and utilizing Boeing information properly to meet information security and protection guidelines
- Applies metadata management principles such as authority control, classification schemes, and indexing using a specialized controlled vocabulary in support of daily cataloging activities
- Displays knowledge of current technology trends in information/metadata management systems and applications
- Helps define customer requirements for technical access and document management
- Supports library applications, systems, databases and servers
- Develops and maintains library websites and search engine optimization
- Prepares statistical and narrative reports on cataloging and related activities by leveraging familiarity with integrated library systems (ex. Koha)
