TMZ is seeking a Digital Analyst to support data-driven decisions through reporting, analysis, and insights across all TMZ-owned touchpoints, aiming to influence audience growth, content performance, and monetization strategies.
Requirements
- Experience using common digital analytics services like Adobe Analytics, GA4 (Google Analytics), or Chartbeat
- Intermediate-level experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Understanding of graphic design and visual communication principles
- Knowledge of syndicated research tools like ComScore, Nielsen, SimilarWeb, Emarketer
- Experience using common digital analytics implementation and QA tools such as, Omnibug, and Adobe Experience Cloud Debugger is a plus
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker is a plus
- Familiarity with data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift) a plus
Responsibilities
- Track and analyze performance across digital platforms: website, mobile app, social media, YouTube, podcasts, newsletters, etc.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting tools and systems
- Compile daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to educate and inform staff across a variety of functional areas from sales and marketing to product and audience development
- Design dashboards to uncover actionable insights that tell a story about audience, traffic, content consumption, and engagement
- Support weekly monitoring of publisher e-commerce performance and promotional marketing campaigns to monitor trends and identify opportunities for optimization
- Collaborate closely with Product Development, SEO, and audience development teams
- Serve as an important resource for senior leadership, the editorial department, and other key stakeholders in a highly visible and valuable role
Other
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in digital or marketing analytics, ideally in media/publishing or other content-focused business
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM field or Social Science, preferred
