Norfolk Southern Corp. is looking for a Digital & Tech Cloud Services Intern to assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of their cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Requirements
- 1+ years experience scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring the health and performance of our cloud services, identifying, and resolving issues proactively.
- Work on automating routine infrastructure tasks using scripting or infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Support the implementation of security best practices and compliance standards within the cloud environment.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and DevSecOps, to support the development and management of cloud-based applications.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues and incidents.
- Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies and contribute innovative ideas to enhance our cloud services.

- Pursuing Bachelors Degree or higher required.
- Active enrolled student during the months of Jan through April 2026
- Technology Majors Preferred: CIS, MIS, Engineering, or related technology field.
