Andrus is looking to hire an Overnight Direct Support Professional to maintain a safe, predictable, and therapeutic living environment for children in care, while supporting the agency's mission, vision, core values, and treatment philosophy.
Requirements
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (in-service trainings are mandatory)
- Computer proficient and navigate Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to access and utilize ADP on smartphone or other device for access to agency programs.
Responsibilities
- Assuring the safety of each resident and for the cottage community
- Actively supervise the residents at all times, based on their age and level, to assure everyone’s safety.
- Enacting the program schedule as written and on time
- Using all aspects of Sanctuary in the care s/he provides
- Using all aspects of trauma sensitive care in the services s/he provides
- Using all techniques of TCI to prevent triggering, to intervene early to prevent escalation to crisis, for safe management of any crisis that does arise, and for assuring safety and learning after any crisis.
- Use the scan system to record consistent monitoring by conducting visual checks of residents every 15 minutes for duration of shift.
Other
- Minimum of HS diploma (or equivalent), required
- Willing to train the right candidate
- A valid driver's license in the good standing for a minimum of three years, a plus
- Multi-lingual a plus
- Must possess ability to sit, stand, walk, run, climb stairs, and lift weights of up to 30 lbs.
