Requirements
- Experience with and deep understanding of AI governance frameworks, ethical principles, and best practices required
- Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with AI technologies required
- Experience in developing and implementing AI compliance programs preferred
- Experience with AI model development and deployment preferred
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices preferred
Responsibilities
- Executes comprehensive AI governance framework that aligns with organizational goals, ethical principles, and regulatory requirements
- Translates high-level AI-specific policies and strategies into actionable processes, guidelines, and operational workflows within the organization. Addresses data governance, bias mitigation, transparency, accountability, and risk management
- Monitors and conducts AI risk assessments to identify potential ethical, legal, and societal risks associated with AI applications. Reports on findings to senior leadership and the VP of AI Governance.
- Implements the AI ethics guidelines for the organization including for models developed by the organization or third parties on which the organization relies
- Performs project level risk analysis to determine success criteria or identify risks for model development outcomes
- Develops and implements AI training and awareness programs for employees and stakeholders on AI governance principles, ethical considerations, and best practices
- Monitors and evaluates the performance and impact of AI systems on the organization and its stakeholders

- 7+ years leadership experience in related field. required
- Strong knowledge of the healthcare industry, including relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and ethical considerations required
- This position is 100% remote within the United States with 10% travel required for annual meetings.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Law, or Healthcare Management required
- Advocates for the understanding of human reactions and behaviors, for those working with AI, adjacent to AI, or receiving an output from AI as part of overall AI ethics
