Requirements
- Strong technical proficiency with data and cloud technologies, including relational and non-relational databases, platform engineering, and devops principles
- Proven knowledge and experience of engineering principles, patterns and practices
- Certification in public cloud (AWS or Azure)
- Experience with agile organization
- Experience with platform engineering
- Experience with devops principles
- Knowledge of cloud native technologies
Responsibilities
- Blend deep Software Engineering knowledge with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing associates
- Collaborate with other leaders to drive adoption of engineering standards
- Influence strategic decisions and build high-quality data platforms
- Directly manage a team of engineers who work with the Database Platforms product area
- Builds strong partnerships with squad leaders and platform leaders to enable open discussion on how to improve our engineering maturity of our platforms
- Drives change across our platforms, advocating for the right outcomes for our customers
- Actively sharing insights, knowledge, industry practices and developments across the organization

- Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing teams of 10+ people
- Demonstrated strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience identifying and acquiring talent needs, resource planning and talent allocation across large organizations
- Ability to work in a hybrid model, with onsite work required every other week
