Fidelity's Brokerage Recordkeeping Technology needs to design and implement scalable, cloud-based data architectures to support its applications, standardize solutions, drive modernization, and align technology with business goals. The team aims to modernize data platforms, improve systems for business growth, increase efficiency, and unlock new value for customers and employees by creating systems for gathering and incorporating data for operations and analytics.

Requirements

  • Expertise in relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL), distributed SQL (CockroachDB, YugabyteDB), NoSQL (Aerospike), in-memory databases, data warehouses (Snowflake) and Kafka streaming.
  • Proven ability to architect high-volume, high-performance transactional systems.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, EC2, EMR, S3) and hybrid environments.
  • Experience building scalable data solutions (OLTP, ODS, MDM, data warehousing & analytics platforms).
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend emerging cloud data technologies.
  • Hands-on experience in logical and physical data modeling
  • Experience with data movement (ETL, ELT) technologies

Responsibilities

  • Define and promote data architecture strategies, patterns, standards, and guidelines.
  • Provide technical leadership across complex projects and initiatives.
  • Guide the adoption of cloud-native data solutions and data integration patterns.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making and reusable patterns, standards and guidelines.
  • Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs) to evaluate emerging technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Support mainframe migration and modernization efforts.

Other

  • Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
