PayPal is seeking to address the challenges associated with managing the chargeback process within its global payments ecosystem. The role aims to lead the strategy, design, and management of the chargeback lifecycle, ensuring compliance, monitoring performance, and responding to emerging threats in the payments ecosystem.
Requirements
- 10+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of experience leading others.
- 15+ years of experience in the payments industry with deep expertise in chargebacks, dispute resolution, and/or payment risk management.
- 5+ years of experience in people management roles is critical. Prior experience in setting up global teams is desirable.
- Strong understanding of the payments infrastructure, digital wallets, acquiring and issuing banks, and regulatory environment globally.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating across corporate and external ecosystems.
- Data-driven mindset with expertise in performance analytics and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the overall data science strategy, aligning with corporate goals and objectives.
- Lead the design and execution of advanced data science projects to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify and prioritize data-driven opportunities.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of data infrastructure, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
- Drive innovation in data science practices and tools, staying ahead of industry trends.
- Design and manage chargeback or fraud dispute processes in a complex, multi-stakeholder, multi-regional payment ecosystem.
