Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the vision, strategy, development, and coordinate execution of Highmark Health's data science capability
- Oversee delivery of novel data science use cases, which do not meet any of our existing patterns
- Represent the entire Advanced Analytics group as the number one stakeholder for Highmark's analytical data products
- Keep up to date with developments in the field of data science, and lead the coordination of technology partners and advanced analytics colleagues
- Drive innovation within our data science community
- Design a solution, introduce any necessary adaptations in our processes to deliver that solution, and drive implementation and adoption by the business
- Generalize the use case, and mature it into a data science pipeline (where appropriate)

- Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity
- Represent Highmark as a healthcare industry leader in the field of advanced analytics internally and externally
- Doctorate degree in STEM, Health Services Research or related field OR Master’s Degree in STEM, Health Services Research, Business or related field with 7 years of relevant work experience
- 10 years of Advanced Statistical Analysis
- 5 years in Management and/or Leadership role
- 3 years of Consulting and/or working with Senior Leaders
- Travel Requirement: 0% - 25%
