Travelers is looking for an analytic leadership role within their Research and Development team to partner with business stakeholders to solve complex technical problems through data-driven solutions and innovative approaches. The goal is to leverage diverse analytical methodologies and emerging technologies to assess business processes, drive operational efficiency, and execute strategic initiatives, ultimately providing analytical insights and recommendations to leadership to guide strategic decision-making and develop creative solutions for various business challenges.
Requirements
- Experience using explanatory, diagnostic, and inferential techniques such as experimental design, hypothesis testing, clustering analysis, time series and other statistical modeling algorithms with the ability to decide the appropriate methodology for the purpose.
- Experience working on large-scale multidimensional data using advanced knowledge of open-source cloud-enabled analytical programming languages.
- Bachelor’s degree or five years of experience in data, analytics, engineering, science, technical analytical fields or relevant experience.
- Maintain awareness of technical advancements in order to determine best solutions for new projects and ensure continuous improvement for existing solutions.
- Explore and implement new data and analytic tools, techniques and industry best practices to apply to business problems.
- Ensure sound data strategy, quality, and coding best practices and bring recommendations and suggestions for improvements to supporting areas.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate initiatives around third party data within the Research and Development team.
- Assist in driving innovative technical solutions, develop tools and provide analytic assessments in support of Bond’s initiatives around frictionless underwriting.
- Produce analyses which help drive strategic business decision making around the sales, customer and underwriting portfolios.
- Support Strategic Platform projects as need arises.
- Participate in other analytic projects/research/experiments as questions from the business areas arise
- Collaborate and coordinate with various technology teams to ensure quality product.
- Ensure smooth transition as LLMs and models are updated, including developing appropriate testing protocols.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM related field, or a Business School Master’s Degree with a concentration in a technical or analytical field.
- Seven years of related data and analytic experience.
- Experience leading and managing complex projects.
- Ability to think strategically and use judgement to resolve issues as they arise.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact, tailor, and translate analyses and methodology and influence at senior levels of the organization.
