Salesforce is looking to scale its Forward Deployed Engineers (FDE) Program by building a world-class technical enablement and deployment program that empowers engineers to tackle complex customer challenges using the Salesforce Platform.
Requirements
- Deep technical expertise in Salesforce Platform architecture, application development, and scale/performance best practices
- Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS deployment models, platform guardrails, and technical health frameworks.
- Operational mindset with experience scaling global programs and managing technical processes.
Responsibilities
- Define the technical vision for the Engineering program, ensuring alignment with Salesforce platform best practices, guardrails, and product roadmaps.
- Build scalable onboarding, training, and certification programs to equip FDEs with deep Salesforce technical expertise across the platform, Revenue Cloud, and Industries solutions.
- Develop and scale technical engagement models (e.g., Implementation, MVP, Advisory) for repeatable, high-impact customer engagements.
- Drive operational frameworks for knowledge sharing, reusable code assets, and engagement playbooks across the FDE community.
- Evaluate program outcomes using data-driven insights to guide decision-making and refine future strategies.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for complex deployments and customer technical blockers.
Other
- 12+ years of Operational & Program Engineering leadership experience in SaaS or enterprise software environments (not purely software engineering leadership experience).
- Past consulting experience highly preferred.
- Experience in scaling engineering teams and operations in fast-paced environments with background in change management and scaling operational frameworks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence senior engineers, product teams, and customer stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience )
