Requirements
- Proven experience in leading AI and Intelligent Automation initiatives
- Experience in managing high-performance teams of AI engineers
- Familiarity with Responsible AI principles
- Deep understanding of AI algorithms, machine learning techniques (e.g., deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision)
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of software development methodologies
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive AI roadmap aligned with IOPS business goals
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable AI strategies and integrate AI solutions into existing systems
- Deciding on building or acquiring AI capabilities to ensure present and future business needs are met
- Establish AI best practices and guidelines to ensure quality, security, and compliance with regulations
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of AI engineers fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning
- Oversee the full AI lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to model development, deployment, and monitoring
- Delegate tasks effectively, manage project timelines & budgets, and monitor team performance & timelines
Other
- BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
- 10+ years industry experience for Associate Director, 12+ years industry experience for Director
- Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar highly regulated environment preferred
- Excellent ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong understanding of business drivers and ability to align AI solutions with strategic goals
