RTX BBN Technologies is looking to solve challenging problems in electromagnetic warfare (EW), communications, cybersecurity, cyberspace operations, networking, and RF domains for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) customers
Requirements
- Experience in U.S. government technology strategy, policy development, budget prioritization to identify future technology investment opportunities relative to business unit technologies and innovative solutions
- Experience writing and reviewing classified government research funding proposals in relevant areas
- Experience managing tasks, staff, budget and deliverables to reach program milestones
- Experience with research and development of Cyber/EW and networking capabilities
- Experience synchronizing and coordinating highly technical, R&D teams
- Experience monitoring cross-disciplinary, multi-portfolio projects in relevant technology areas
- Active TS clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead elements of the business unit’s strategy with support from technical and programmatic leadership
- Regularly communicate and engage with customers to help identify and connect opportunities with innovative technical capabilities and potential solutions
- Organize and facilitate program technical review meetings to inform strategic decision making and coordination across project interdependencies
- Support proposal writing and processes through the shaping of win themes, innovations, operational impact, and focus on customers’ most pressing uses cases
- Manage program execution for related awards
- Interface with larger RTX enterprise and associated business units (Pratt and Whitney, Collins Aerospace, Raytheon) to help shape their technology roadmaps, identify transition opportunities, and drive maturing research capabilities into RTX product lines
Other
- A BS degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or relevant field plus 12 years of relevant experience, or MS plus 9 years, or PhD plus 7 years
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- Position may require some amount of overnight travel
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment
