Raytheon Digital Technology – Data Analytics and AI (DAAI) seeks to transform data into trusted intelligence by building predictive models and scalable AI solutions, delivering innovation, measurable impact, and value across the business. The Director of AI & Data Science will shape the future of data science and AI at Raytheon by leading a high-performing team of data scientists and AI engineers, driving innovation by applying the latest advances in machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision to solve mission-critical challenges.

Requirements

• Experience designing and deploying scalable AI/ML solutions (including one or more of the following: predictive analytics, natural language processing, anomaly detection, and computer vision)
• Experience with data modelling, statistical methods, and algorithm development.
• Experience with one or more of the following modern AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and MLOps practices (e.g., MLFlow, containerization).
• Experience leading cross-functional teams of data scientists, engineers, and researchers to deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS GovCloud, AzureGov) and modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
• Knowledge of data governance, model risk management, and ethical AI practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-performing teams delivering production-grade AI/ML and advanced analytics solutions.
• Design scalable AI systems for applications in predictive analytics, NLP, computer vision, optimization, and anomaly detection.
• Integrate the latest research, tools, and methodologies into AI development workflows and be a thought leader across Raytheon & RTX.
• Coordinate between business, data, enterprise service, and compliance teams to deliver end-to-end AI solutions.
