Cascade Energy is seeking a Director of Business Development – Software Solutions to build strong relationships and sell enterprise software solutions to industrial and commercial building enterprises, energy and sustainability professionals, and government agencies throughout the United States. The role involves understanding customer needs, formulating proposals, closing sales, and ensuring a smooth handover to internal teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of B2B business development experience selling SaaS products
  • Demonstrated ability in needs identification, problem solving, negotiating, and closing the sale

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, propose and sell Cascade energy, sustainability and decarbonization SaaS solutions to enterprise, program level, and individual site level clients
  • Represent Cascade as a subject matter expert at large industry conferences and association events and participate as a speaker when opportunities arise
  • For the electric and gas utility client segment, support Cascade sales staff assigned to these clients as the subject matter expert for SaaS solutions
  • Identify and develop strategies to address barriers to the adoption and expanded use of Cascade SaaS solutions
  • Lead and be accountable for the planning and delivery of proposals, presentations, and negotiations in the acquisition of new work, both where Cascade is positioned as the prime contractor as well as a subcontractor
  • Serve as the proposal lead and subject matter expert for RFP submissions focused on SaaS solutions
  • Collaborate with Cascade’s Strategy and Products team to identify customer insights, needs and pain points and shape our SaaS product development roadmap

  • A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Travel for this role is expected at 30%.
