Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of AI/ML platforms, implementation best practices, and governance in a commercial context.
- History of managing complex, matrixed technology projects from pilot to enterprise scale.
- Strong influencing and communication skills; can effectively interface with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated comfort working in ambiguity, across multiple functions, adapting to shifting business priorities.
- Ability to travel up to 10% to engage with global teams and drive AI pilot-to-scale governance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Build, evolve, and extend governance framework for scaling readiness of AI pilots within BMS Commercial.
- Establish KPI Framework for ranking and prioritizing AI POCs and Use Cases.
- Shape a supplier accountability model outlining standards for how third-party partners collaborate and deliver AI capabilities to BMS.
- Manage early-stage AI Pilot development in coordination with the right stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional teams-including IT, data science, Medical, Access, Marketing, Sales, and external vendors-through the technical lifecycle: from POC to scaling hand-off.
- Serve as a technical SME, effectively influencing and educating peers and leaders across commercial and technical domains without direct authority.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, prioritize work, and translate business objectives into scalable AI-enabled tools and processes.
Other
- BA/BS in a relevant technical field required; advanced degree (MS, MBA, PhD) preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or start-up experience, with at least 4 years focused on data, technology solutions, or AI in commercial settings.
- Champion robust change management principles, communicating complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Remain agile amid ambiguity, adapting governance and solution design in partnership with stakeholders to meet evolving global and regional needs.
- Ability to travel up to 10% to engage with global teams and drive AI pilot-to-scale governance initiatives.
