AEG is seeking a Director of Data Science to transform how the organization leverages data to drive business decisions in the live entertainment industry, focusing on predictive analytics for ticket sales, dynamic pricing, and audience segmentation.
Requirements
- 8-10 years Experience in data science and statistics
- 4-6 years Experience building, managing, mentoring, and inspiring high performing, collaborative teams that values testing and learning
- Proven expertise developing algorithms for solving diverse business challenges and creating value for the company
- Strong background working with large-scale both structured and unstructured data in distributed computing environments, including databases, data cleaning, and feature engineering
- Well-versed in Python, R, SQL, statistical tools
- Experience with iterative and rapid experimentation process in the context of research and analytics
- Experience in ticketing or entertainment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Focus on research and development through statistical modeling of large amounts of data; identify patterns and trends in data sets to use towards predictive analytics; develop actionable insights to guide data-driven decision making for AEG Presents.
- Develop and execute comprehensive data science strategy aligned with business objectives, including predictive analytics for ticket sales, dynamic pricing models, and audience segmentation
- Collaborate with data engineering team to integrate data collection, data quality and core model output into production systems, to automate and advance built out algorithms and models.
- Model performance reviews and ongoing maintenance
- Employ a diverse ecosystem of creative machine learning models, applied experience in artificial intelligence, and advanced statistical analyses.
- Translate complex mathematical and statistical insights into actionable business strategies.
- Design and implement sophisticated models.
