S&P Global is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead a team focused on data digitization and automation within the analytical engineering portfolio, aiming to transform how analytical data is processed and leveraged through modern technologies and automation.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of data engineering, cloud platforms, and automation tools.
- Experience with AI, machine learning, and RPA technologies is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, SQL, etc.), automation frameworks (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere), and data management platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Strong knowledge of APIs, system integrations, and microservices architectures.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security practices, and compliance regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Oversee the transformation of manual or legacy data sources into structured, digitized formats for improved access, efficiency, and analytics.
- Implement and scale systems for analytical data capture, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and scalable digitization processes.
- Drive the automation of workflows, reporting, and business processes to eliminate manual intervention and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead the design and implementation of robotic process automation (RPA) or other automation technologies to streamline repetitive tasks and improve productivity.
- Champion the integration of automation tools with existing systems and infrastructure for seamless operations.
- Evaluate and select appropriate tools and platforms that support data digitization and automation needs, optimizing cost, scalability, and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the effective and timely resolution of challenges that arise during implementation.
