JPMorgan Chase is looking for a Director of Software Engineering to lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments, utilizing in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- Expertise in Agile Methodology including tools like Jira and Jira Align
- Experience in architectural design and data modeling
- Practical cloud native experience
- Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Full stack development - Java
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and AI Model / Agents development using AWS Bedrock
- Experience with Databricks and Immuta
Responsibilities
- Lead technology and process implementations as solution architect to achieve functional technology objectives
- Partner with Data Product and Data Engineer teams on deliver firmwide data strategies for analytics and AI Models
- Partner with Learning Product teams to accomplish the key business deliverables including streamline learn offerings
- Partner with Product Delivery Manager and Finance to maintain Jira backlog priorities, roadmap generation, and resource allocations
- Make decisions that influence teams’ resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
- Carry governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations
- Deliver technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains

- Formal training or certification on team leadership concepts and 10+ years applied experience
- Experience managing and leading cross-functional teams of technologists
- Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
- Experience in running roadmap planning and resource allocations
