JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Bank Technology team is looking for a Director of Software Engineering to lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. The role involves utilizing in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, serving as a primary decision maker and a driver of innovation and solution delivery.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Deep expertise with enterprise design patterns and industry best practices with experience using modern technology (e.g., Java, Cassandra, Kafka) and design patterns (e.g., micro services, APIs)
- Demonstrated proficiency in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Practical cloud native experience
- Experience with high volume, mission critical applications
- Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
Responsibilities
- Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives
- Carries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations
- Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains
