StandardAero is looking to solve the problem of ensuring strict adherence to FAA regulations, DCMA, AS9100/ISO standards, customer requirements, and internal quality systems in their aviation operations
Requirements
- Proven experience with FAA Part 145, Part 21, Part 135 and DCMA operations
- Extensive knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and other applicable quality standards
- Experience managing audits, regulatory inspections, and quality investigations
- Proficiency in quality management tools and systems
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
- Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001, AS9100)
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with FAA, EASA, DCMA and other regulatory authority requirements
- Serve as the primary liaison with aviation regulatory bodies during audits, inspections, and certification processes
- Oversee and approve internal and external audit programs to ensure ongoing compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant standards
- Audit the effectiveness and compliance of inspection, monitoring, and testing of aircraft, components, parts, and processes to ensure conformance to specifications and airworthiness
- Establish and track key quality performance indicators (KPIs), and report findings to executive leadership
- Investigate and resolve product and process non-conformances, customer complaints, and regulatory issues
- Ensure that quality training programs are in place for all employees impacting product or maintenance quality
Other
- Minimum 10 years of progressive quality assurance experience in the aviation or aerospace industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, Quality Assurance, or related field or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ CQE, FAA certifications) preferred
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
