StandardAero is looking to solve the problem of ensuring strict adherence to FAA regulations, DCMA, AS9100/ISO standards, customer requirements, and internal quality systems in their aviation operations

Requirements

  • Proven experience with FAA Part 145, Part 21, Part 135 and DCMA operations
  • Extensive knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and other applicable quality standards
  • Experience managing audits, regulatory inspections, and quality investigations
  • Proficiency in quality management tools and systems
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
  • Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001, AS9100)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with FAA, EASA, DCMA and other regulatory authority requirements
  • Serve as the primary liaison with aviation regulatory bodies during audits, inspections, and certification processes
  • Oversee and approve internal and external audit programs to ensure ongoing compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant standards
  • Audit the effectiveness and compliance of inspection, monitoring, and testing of aircraft, components, parts, and processes to ensure conformance to specifications and airworthiness
  • Establish and track key quality performance indicators (KPIs), and report findings to executive leadership
  • Investigate and resolve product and process non-conformances, customer complaints, and regulatory issues
  • Ensure that quality training programs are in place for all employees impacting product or maintenance quality

Other

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive quality assurance experience in the aviation or aerospace industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, Quality Assurance, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ CQE, FAA certifications) preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
