The company is looking to solve business and technical problems related to Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics, data warehousing, and data lake solutions by developing complex, multi-faceted software applications and defining future strategy, solutions, and ensuring the stability of underlying platforms.
Requirements
- Works with Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics tools including Oracle Business Intelligence suite (OBIEE), Power BI, and Tableau.
- Employs Snowflake and Redshift for data warehousing and data lake solutions.
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing Oracle BI reporting and data warehousing (including Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) from Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) and DB2) using Informatica, Airflow, PL/SQL and zNFS in Agile frameworks (Scrum and Kanban) within a financial services environment.
- DE designing, developing, and maintaining web-based BI applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS), S3 storage, Python, and REST and SOAP web services.
- DE designing large-scale enterprise application architecture and system configuration using Linux, Shell and Perl scripting, Tibco Data virtualization, Snowflake, and SnapLogic.
- DE performing data analytics and visualization using Oracle SQL Developer, Microsoft Power BI, Oracle Business Intelligence suite (OBIEE), BI Publisher, and Oracle 11g databases.
- Works closely with enterprise architects, squad leaders, chapter team leaders, engineers, and business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define future strategy, solutions, and ensure stability of underlying platforms.
Responsibilities
- Works with Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics tools including Oracle Business Intelligence suite (OBIEE), Power BI, and Tableau.
- Employs Snowflake and Redshift for data warehousing and data lake solutions.
- Builds scalable patterns for data consumption from cloud-based data-lakes.
- Supports the run-time production environment and serves as senior point of contact for all incidents.
- Draws on in-depth knowledge of the business or function to provide business unit-wide solutions by developing complex, multi-faceted software applications.
- Researches and recommends new technologies in support of the strategic direction of the business unit and participates in the research and recommendation of appropriate models, methods, tools, and technologies to achieve business-unit-wide solutions.
- Translates and incorporates business vision and strategy to architectural strategy.
Other
- Works closely with enterprise architects, squad leaders, chapter team leaders, engineers, and business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define future strategy, solutions, and ensure stability of underlying platforms.
- Makes recommendations at the functional level.
- Participates in high-level, cross-functional architecture design teams.
- Identifies and consults with internal and external technical resources to produce cross-company strategic designs.
- Consults on development and delivery of major technology initiatives for the business unit.
