CAE USA is looking to solve the problem of leadership over the Software Engineering department in the Technology & Product organization to support global and corporate strategic objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience working on DoD programs, preferably in Military Simulation & Training
- Sufficient understanding of business concepts to effectively manage budget and schedule performance
- Understanding of simulation hardware and software architecture, components, and technology
- Experience with Systems Engineering, Hardware / Software Integration and product testing
- Eligible for a US DoD Security Clearance
- Experience with software development, integration, test and deployment practices and methodologies
- Detailed knowledge of software/hardware integration
Responsibilities
- Accountable for ensuring the TPD Software Engineering team establishes staffing supply and maintains critical skills
- Coordinates with Chief Engineers, R&D Principal Investigators, and other stakeholders to ensure workforce planning aligns with the business needs
- Detailed, hands-on experience across the full product lifecycle from requirements, design, development, integration, test and deployment
- Resource management within the TPD Software Engineering team, including training and career development
- Provide a highly engaged work environment for department leaders and team members
- Supervisory and performance responsibility for direct reports, and oversight of performance of secondary reports
- Continuous improvement of department performance through processes improvement, tool identification and development, and other initiatives

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to effectively manage technical teams
