PayPal is looking for an experienced engineering leader to run the engineering organization behind PayPal's Peer to Peer payments product. The leader will be responsible for creating and driving the technology strategy, architecture, and organizational design in partnership with product and design counterparts, ensuring the scalability, reliability, performance, and security of P2P systems.

Responsibilities
- Define and own the engineering strategy and roadmap for P2P and related financial services (e.g. balance, funds-in, wallet).
- Ensure architectural integrity, scalability, reliability, performance, and security of P2P systems.
- Drive adoption of best practices in engineering, code quality, automation, metrics, and observability.
- Directs and controls the delivery of business and technical outcomes that comprise multiple projects and operational activities within a domain through organizational and technical leadership
- Defines engineering health objectives that drive organization health, engineering best practices and operational targets
- Drives product and technical strategy with cross-functional leaders across the enterprise to deliver Domain goals
- Develops engineering strategy that translates into operational and tactical plans; uses ground-breaking methods to think beyond existing solutions
Other
- 10+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of experience leading others
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Risk/Compliance, Operations, and Business stakeholders to align engineering efforts with customer and business outcomes.
- Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating complex concepts.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier engineering leaders and individual contributors.
